1. Show History

Country Tonite had its debut in 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show’s success there enabled expansion to Branson, Missouri in 1994 and two years later to Pigeon Forge. The popularity of the show in the Smoky Mountain location quickly skyrocketed. Producers there saw an opportunity to create something truly special, and, in 2000, Country Tonite in Pigeon Forge separated from the franchise to become an independent operation. For 17 years now, the show has been providing Pigeon Forge residents and visitors with an incredible musical experience.

2. Musical Prodigies

kidsAmazing as it may seem, the Country Tonite cast includes two musicians whose performances on stage are so professional and entertaining it defies their young age. Shelton Tison wows crowds with his incredible voice and Willow Osborne will leave you speechless with her virtuoso banjo playing.

3. Auditions

Talented performers are found through both an open audition process and by invitation only. Prospective vocalists provide a CD of music for songs to be performed. Both an upbeat and ballad style song are expected. Dancers are taught a short dance and are then judged on their performance.

Others may submit the following: a DVD of performances, a CD of selected music, a copy of a resume and a photograph of themselves. Once reviewed, those selected for a live audition will be notified. If you’re interested in joining our cast, check out the Country Tonite Auditions page.

4. Student Groups

groupStudent groups associated with a choral, dance or instrumental club at school may actually be able to perform on stage as the opening act! Another opportunity for student groups includes a tour of the backstage. Students learn all that goes into each performance from the lighting and sound to the set design. Question and answer sessions with our professional cast gives young performers valuable information and insight. For an additional fee, workshops on any component of the show can be arranged. Visit our Country Tonite Student Groups page for more information.
